Star Academy offers an engaging, robust high school program featuring diploma and certificate of completion tracks.
Star’s high school curriculum is standards-based and leveled to meet the instructional needs of the students.
Small class sizes, a highly trained teaching team, multi-modal learning and a supportive classroom environment lead to student success. Specialists including speech pathologists, occupational therapists, counselors and literacy specialists provide embedded supports to further enhance student learning outcomes.
In addition to core academics, Star provides extensive instruction in independent living skills, pre-vocational skills, self-advocacy and neurodiversity. A wide array of electives round out the course offerings.
As a WASC-accredited program, a Star high school diploma is recognized by junior colleges and students can matriculate from Star to a junior college, taking either academic or non-academic courses.
